Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, communication, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential in ensuring a positive first impression and smooth flow of the dining or hospitality experience. Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Handle reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover
• Maintain a clean and organized host station
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff regarding guest needs and seating arrangements
• Manage guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Assist with guest inquiries about the menu, specials, or restaurant policies
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive and courteous service throughout their visit
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for reservations or seating management when necessary
• Uphold high standards of hospitality, phone etiquette, and guest relations

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host/Host in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
• Experience with food service operations and guest services enhances effectiveness in this role
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong communication skills, including clear speaking voice and active listening skills
• Experience in customer service roles that require hospitality, guest relations, or serving is highly valued
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Previous hotel experience or familiarity with hospitality standards is a plus
