A growing HVAC distributor based in NYC, specializing in ductless heatpump systems , is seeking a Branch Manager to drive sales growth in the Hartford, CT region.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Branch Manager to join our newly opened Hartford, CT branch. The Branch Manager will oversee daily operations, staff management, and customer service while ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies. This leadership role includes recruiting, training, and setting performance goals to maintain a positive team environment. Additionally, the Branch Manager actively supports sales, inventory management, and safety standards while collaborating with the sales team to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Managerial Duties:
- Establish, communicate, and model performance expectations for all team members.
- Monitor accountability for branch goals.
- Perform formal periodic staff reviews. Provide routine informal feedback to manage employee performance, corrective actions and reward system
- Ensure team members have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their jobs
- Ensure branch culture is focused on servicing customers.
- Foster a team-oriented atmosphere, operating as a leader with a positive attitude.
- Adhere to and reinforce employee training to maintain proper workplace procedures, policies, and safety protocols.
- Maintain open communication to support a healthy work environment.
- Manage employees and resolve any problems, whether customer based, or employee based.
- Report any consistent problems that are not being resolved
- Facilitate or lead projects as assigned.
Sales Duties:
- Assist with customer service and sales, including answering phones, greeting customers, and servicing the sales counter.
- Present and demonstrate the company's products and services to potential customers.
- Pull material for orders. Assist with loading material into customer vehicles when requested.
- Replenish and restock counter shelves to ensure adequate inventory
- Develop and execute sales promotions and counter activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse. Make sure that aisles are free of potential hazards. Report all unsafe conditions.
- Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications.
- Expect to do physical count of full warehouse inventory weekly/monthly (Variable)
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies and achieve company goals.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer focus and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Knowledge of distribution company operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, customer service, showroom merchandising, shipping and receiving, and sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- High attention to detail.
- Strong follow-up skills, highly organized, and able to multitask.
- Professional demeanor with a polished appearance.
- A strong desire to succeed and grow financially.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, lift, reach, push, pull and manipulate materials and objects weighing up to 75 lbs, with assistance for heavier items as needed.
- Most work is performed in a warehouse environment without air conditioning, which may include hot and cold temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise.

- Monday to Friday
- 8AM - 4PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50, $59,000.00 per year
