What you'll do

• Provide essential patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure patient safety.
• Support patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia.
• Administer medications under the supervision of nursing staff while adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support and education.

Basic qualifications

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers.
• Background in long-term care, hospice care, or home health environments.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and medication administration.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
