Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and specialty clinics such as dermatology and internal medicine. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring excellent patient service.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collect patient histories and vital signs accurately.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Document patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy is essential.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or outpatient settings is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent patient service.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
