The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising all warehousing of the shift. The Warehouse Supervisor will direct team members in the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of customer products in a manner consistent with service and cost objectives. The Operations Manager will fill in for the supervisor when necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate the most efficient unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality.
Ensure all prerequisite and food safety programs are being adhered to by ensuring all employees are following proper handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Ensure all security policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure proper food safety practices are maintained.
Conduct shift meetings.
Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, or career development.
Assess the training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Maintain forklift certification.
3+ years supervisory or warehouse experience
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
Ability to perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks
or assist in their performance.
Ability to supervise employees.
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with variety of individuals
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with staff.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move warehouse products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Ability to be on standing and / or walking for extended periods of time.
Working prolonged periods in an environment that is -20 to +36 degrees (with appropriate personal protective equipment).
Must be able to bend, lift, reach and step on and off a forklift truck.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72, $77,000.00 per year
