Marketing Director | Job Description & Application ( Full-Time )

ANTHEM is an umbrella organization, for a variety of real estate and hospitality companies in Waco, TX. Our headquarters are located in the historic core of downtown, and exist and operate to see our city restored and rejuvenated, whether it be one brick or building at a time, or one tenant or local visitor at a time. Much of this activity requires daily tasks and administrative work that happens behind the scenes and without a lot of public excitement, but all put together, mixed with our teams' own particular skill sets allows for the greater fulfillment of our broader corporate mission - development by design. Peter & Summer Ellis, Baylor alumni and the directors of ANTHEM have led out in the design and business development industry professionally since 1999 for over 50 years collectively. Though we've seen much growth in that time, we're so excited for all that is yet to unfold

For (ANTHEM Group), we are currently seeking a capable and responsible individual to join the Anthem team. As an Anthem Team member, you will be able to bring satisfaction & quality goods/services to the Greater Waco population. Work is full-time, and may intermittently exceed 40-hrs/wk. Compensation starts at $55K/yr, depending on experience and/or formal training, as well as offers employer-matched healthcare, PTO, among other in-house benefits. After a 90-day introductory period, employees are eligible for merit based promotions, and bonuses as participatory career growth is important to us.

Marketing Director

Description -

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading through Anthem's mission, vision, and values in order to develop a high-performing brand/product presence and enhance company growth. The Marketing Director oversees a variety of marketing streams, methods and means under the Anthem umbrella. The Marketing Director oversees any other Associate Mgr in relation to their own direct brand mgmt roles, including social media and works in conjunction with the Executive Director and Finance & Resource Director to maximize marketing effectiveness overall. This position requires a passion for marketing excellence, implementation and execution, and a drive for results, as well as the ability to quickly and efficiently lead through unforeseen complexity. The Marketing Director must maintain a healthy value system, including moral and ethical behavior that is consistent with the company's mission and core values.

Reporting Relationship-

This job reports to the Executive Director, as well as Resource & Finance Director where appropriate.

Supervisory Responsibilities-

This job has light internal supervisory responsibilities. The Marketing Director is responsible for ensuring brand compliance is understood by Associate Mgmt and downstream staff. Also, overseeing outside 3rd parties within the Marketing arena.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-

Sales Funnel & Business Development (40%)

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute targeted marketing efforts, campaigns, or mediums to drive business. This may included event bookings, increased revenue, new streams of clientele, residential and commercial tenancy, retail sales growth, locally and online.
  • Client Relationships: Develop better methods of retention, through healthy communications, marketing and evidential sales retention.
  • Collaborate with Upper Level Management to establish and meet revenue goals, and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Business Creation: Develop and manage new streams for business as related to existing or potential from existing.
  • KPI Tracking: Oversee results, to identify what is working and not working.

Marketing Media/Mediums: (35%)

  • Web - Manage, build or revamp websites/Apps, for optimal business growth.
  • IT - Support Anthem technological simplifications and efficiencies.
  • Anolog - Create flyers, billboards, mail-out packets or magazines, signage to communicate particular business info, as will be annually, quarterly, and monthly prioritized.
  • Social - ensure basic parameters are cohesive, and that growth is in order, along w/ other Associate Mgmt support downstream.
  • Digital - oversee and create original digital content, graphics, & the like.
  • Photo - create/oversee complimentary photography work, accessing options from within Anthem or outside as necessary.
  • Product Packaging - Pertaining largely to the future Grocery Store.

Leadership & Team Management (15%)

  • Create a marketing environment that inspires and encourages the growth and engagement of the Anthem team overall.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence amongst the leadership by utilizing best practices and providing support.
  • Develop & use SOPs to simplify future layers of growth.
  • Cross-functional Team Support, as a fellow Mgmt Team member.

Financial Oversight (10%)

  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all standards and operating procedures are met, including sustainable, traceable KPI's.
  • Cost Management: Work with the upper level team to manage and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring high-quality marketing while maximizing profitability.

Typical Skills/Competencies:

  • The Marketing Director must be self-motivated and possess strong implementation, organizational, and execution skills, with experience in hospitality, retail, and multi-media mgmt. Attention to Detail, Interpersonal, Professional Communication, Networking skills, Multi-tasking, Team player, Support others, Responsibility, Availability/Flexibility, Quick learner, Task Management is a must They should be proficient in financial management, all types of marketing, while ensuring accuracy for clients' expectations. Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, industry knowledge, as well as adept with efficiencies of AI are essential for success in this role.

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience as a dynamic Marketing Manager or Marketing Director or a similar role required.
  • Working knowledge and experience with appropriate software, databases, resources & project management tools.
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principals, including understanding of business ROI
  • Successful history of marketing and business growth activities, as well as customer service values.
  • Working knowledge of relevant local, state and federal legislation and regulations
  • Experience managing through a variety of departments and cross-functional teams

Education: - Bachelor's degree required, in a Marketing related field preferred.
