Position Summary

Plateau Excavation is seeking a highly motivated
Concrete Division Project Manager / Estimator
to support and lead our growing concrete operations across the Southeast. This role is responsible for managing concrete projects from
preconstruction through completion
, while delivering accurate estimates, strong financial performance, and exceptional execution in the field.

This position plays a critical role in supporting Plateau's
mission-critical, industrial, and large-scale sitework projects
, ensuring concrete scopes are competitively bid, efficiently managed, and built to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Prepare detailed
  concrete estimates
  including labor, materials, equipment, production rates, and subcontracted scopes
• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications, and models
• Review bid documents, scopes of work, and contract requirements
• Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Identify risk, constructability challenges, and value-engineering opportunities
• Support bid strategy development in coordination with operations and leadership
• Lead clean, thorough handoffs from estimating to project teams

Project Management & Execution

• Manage concrete scopes from
  contract award through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, foremen, and field crews
• Track job costs, productivity, and production rates
• Manage subcontractors, material suppliers, and equipment resources
• Lead internal and external project meetings
• Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and Plateau standards

Financial & Contract Management

• Monitor job cost reports and forecast profitability
• Prepare pricing, documentation, and justification for change orders
• Review contracts, scopes, and pay applications
• Support monthly billing, revenue tracking, and cost reporting
• Assist with project closeout, final billing, and warranty documentation

Safety, Quality & Leadership

• Champion Plateau's
  people-first safety culture
  and OSHA compliance
• Ensure concrete work meets all quality and inspection requirements
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and professional development
• Support and mentor field leadership and junior team members
• Represent Plateau Excavation with professionalism to clients, partners, and inspectors

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in
  concrete estimating and/or project management
• Strong working knowledge of concrete scopes including foundations, slabs, walls, paving, and structural concrete
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects preferred
• Proficiency in tools such as
  Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, HCSS, or similar platforms
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Detail-driven with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Preferred Experience

• Self-perform concrete operations experience
• Mission-critical or data-center project exposure
• Multi-project management in fast-paced environments
