We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage our operations in Durham, North Carolina. The Warehouse Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall logistics and supply chain functions. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of warehouse management principles. You will be responsible for coordinating activities between departments, managing warehouse staff, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Your contribution is vital to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our warehouse operations. We foster a culture of safety and expect all employees to be diligent in its practice.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Manage warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Implement and enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely as needed.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and other departments to resolve any logistical issues.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, reporting any needs for repair or maintenance.
- Be comfortable with moderate to heavy Lifting , up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Logistics processes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on efficiency and Safety .
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in warehouse coordination or supervision. Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and Logistics . Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and knowledge of PPE requirements. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy Lifting .
