Join our busy warehouse as a Receiving Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland, where you'll be the first point of contact for all incoming goods. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently and accurately receive, inspect, and process all deliveries. This includes verifying packing slips against purchase orders, identifying any damaged or missing items, and documenting all received inventory. You will be responsible for organizing received goods, preparing them for put-away, and ensuring the receiving area remains clean and orderly. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are paramount in this role. This position involves significant lifting and requires strict adherence to safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Understanding the flow of logistics within a warehouse environment is essential. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect incoming inventory for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for proper put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Support other warehouse functions requiring lifting and material handling.
