We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your efficiency and precision are vital to our logistics operations. You will work closely with inventory management systems to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists or electronic pick tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities before picking and packing.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and stock is properly stored.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods to supervisors.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming merchandise.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and accuracy in logistics.
- Participate in occasional lifting of boxes or items up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
