Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in beautiful Virginia Beach, Virginia ! We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the first step of our inventory flow. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. Your tasks will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders, checking for damages or discrepancies, and ensuring all items are properly tagged and staged for put-away. Excellent communication skills are vital for interacting with delivery personnel and internal departments. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all company Safety protocols. This position requires physical stamina, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Mandatory use of company-provided PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, is required in designated areas. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect all incoming products for damage, defects, or shortages.
- Document received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Label and stage incoming inventory for efficient put-away.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Strictly follow all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, supporting overall Logistics functions.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
