Are you a motivated individual looking for a fast-paced role in a warehouse environment? Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is hiring Picker/Packers to support our growing logistics operations. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders and then preparing them for shipment. This involves using order pick lists or scanners to locate products, carefully picking the correct quantities, and ensuring items are packaged securely and correctly. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to workplace safety. You will be expected to perform tasks involving regular lifting of items up to 40 lbs. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comprehensive safety training. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Utilize scanning equipment to track inventory movements.
- Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Meet productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Support the overall logistics flow of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and labels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to perform consistent lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices.
- Willingness to wear and use provided PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
