We are seeking a reliable and efficient Order Picker to join our logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are crucial for ensuring timely order processing and customer satisfaction. This role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, requiring physical stamina and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be a key contributor to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from selection to staging. We adhere to strict safety standards and require all employees to use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse locations using pick lists, RF scanners, or other designated methods.
- Verify product information, including item numbers and quantities, against order details.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area using pallet jacks, carts, or other equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and equipment is stored properly.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment used for picking.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily picking and fulfillment targets.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking process to a supervisor.
- Support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with RF scanning devices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to wear and use required PPE.
