Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Jacksonville, Florida! We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods are handled efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to transport materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials within the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Assist in receiving and inspection of incoming materials, verifying quantities and condition.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate placement and stock levels.
- Participate in regular physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting up to 60 lbs, and prolonged standing/walking.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inventory control principles.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols and using PPE.
