Operate a forklift and contribute to the efficiency of our warehouse operations in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Forklift Operator. We are seeking experienced and safety-oriented individuals to handle a variety of materials and products. This role is essential for moving goods within our facility, ensuring timely preparation for shipping and efficient restocking of inventory. You will be responsible for operating forklifts, conducting safety checks, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent operational skills, and a commitment to supporting our logistics team. Your role is critical in maintaining the smooth flow of operations and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. Safety is paramount, and strict adherence to all guidelines is required.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Transport goods to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring clear pathways and proper storage of materials.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and put-away.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of PPE .
- Be comfortable with occasional manual Lifting when tasks require it.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our warehouse Logistics by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to achieve operational goals.
- Follow all internal traffic and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics . Strong understanding of forklift operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must possess good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace Safety . Must be willing to wear required PPE and follow all established guidelines. Capability for occasional physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
