We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is a critical component of our **Logistics** and fulfillment process, directly impacting the speed and accuracy of our shipments. You will utilize scanning technology and other equipment to locate and pick items, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are gathered. A strong emphasis is placed on **Safety** in all warehouse operations, and adherence to **Safety** protocols, including the use of required **PPE**, is paramount. The job involves significant physical activity, including **Lifting**, bending, and standing for extended periods. Your precision and speed will be key to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Read order tickets or use scanning devices to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage areas accurately.
- Verify product information and quantities against order requirements.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers or onto carts for transport.
- Operate pallet jacks and other picking equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all **Safety** guidelines and wear appropriate **PPE**, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Perform **Lifting** of items, typically up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the **Logistics** department by meeting picking targets.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to a supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret order instructions. Must be able to perform repetitive **Lifting** and stand for long periods. Strong commitment to **Safety** and proper **PPE** usage. Basic understanding of **Logistics** and inventory management. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
