We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of materials and products.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move palletized or bulk materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and care.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any malfunctions or damages.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and product types.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, free from obstructions.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and management to achieve operational goals.
- Be aware of surroundings and potential hazards in the logistics environment.
- Support general warehouse duties as assigned, including lifting when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including occasional overtime.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts and attachments.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
