Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight, verifying quantities and condition against documentation.
- Process incoming shipments into our inventory system accurately and promptly.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders for carrier pickup.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation, ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift frequently.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is an advantage.
