Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking an organized and dependable Receiving Clerk to manage the incoming flow of goods. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring that all products are accounted for upon arrival. Your primary duties will include verifying shipments against orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all receipts. Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and a commitment to upholding warehouse Safety standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics chain, working collaboratively with vendors and internal teams. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
- Verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately log all received items into the inventory system.
- Stage items for put-away or direct distribution.
- Maintain a tidy and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all Safety policies, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as required, including tasks involving Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse role is beneficial.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding and adherence to Safety procedures.
