Are you an energetic individual looking for a dynamic role in Virginia Beach, Virginia? We are hiring an Order Picker to join our efficient warehouse team. Your main responsibility will be accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves using pick lists and scanning equipment. This role requires speed, accuracy, and a good understanding of warehouse layout and product locations. You will play a crucial part in ensuring timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong work ethic. Experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial but not required, as we provide comprehensive training. We emphasize safety in all our operations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order requirements for accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Work efficiently to meet order fulfillment targets.
- Understand warehouse layout and product locations.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory verification.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics.
