We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is critical in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency within the warehouse environment. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and external vendors to ensure smooth operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to upholding our high standards of inventory management. Training on our specific systems and processes will be provided, but prior experience in inventory control or a similar role is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, turnover, and obsolescence.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize loss and damage.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper documentation and movement of goods.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend disposition strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with the organization and layout of warehouse storage areas for maximum efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and logistics operations.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and safety protocols to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
