We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to move pallets, loads, and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE .
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as organizing stock and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Ensure that all Lifting is done using proper techniques and equipment.
- Participate in regular safety training and meetings to promote a culture of safety.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics operations.
- Follow all Safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
