We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize errors. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operational teams to ensure that stock levels are precise and readily available for order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management systems and a keen eye for detail. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs, and adherence to all safety protocols. Your contribution will be crucial to the efficiency and success of our supply chain operations. We prioritize a safe working environment, and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and report on variances.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Utilize necessary PPE during all inventory-related activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
