Ravana LLC welcomes applicants for the *Microsoft SQL Server DBA/Developer* role to help maintain our database systems. Ravana is an e-commerce business offering adult products, hard goods, and digital content. The company’s story is as distinctive as the workplace itself. As our Microsoft SQL Server DBA/Developer, you will work to manage and monitor configurations and improve database performance. You will also help plan for capacity needs and implement new database systems. All tasks will support our business goals and future growth. We encourage individuals proficient in SQL Server and knowledgeable in database architecture and administration to apply. We value experience with backup and recovery procedures, performance tuning, and security. We are willing to train a candidate with two or more years of experience to take them to the next level.
*Your Tasks:*
* perform and manage a growing list of database-related tasks.
* Prepare reports and manage a growing repository.
* plan and implement new database designs.
* create and optimize stored procedures.
* perform database backups and recovery.
* continuous monitoring of database performance and tuning to improve efficiency.
* make recommendations about the future direction of our information storage infrastructure.
* work closely with developers and project managers. Ensure timely, high-performance project completion.
* review systems and maintain documentation.
* Assist senior-level DBA/Architect in monitoring and alerts.
* willingness to be on call in emergency situations
*Required skills and qualifications:*
* Proven work experience as a database administrator with SQL Server
* Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
* 2+ years of experience with MS SQL Server, specifically T-SQL.
* 2+ years of experience in database and server maintenance.
* the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a challenging work environment.
* pride in their work and a competitive spirit.
* we encourage candidates with a BS degree in Computer Science or a related field to apply, as diversity in experience and education strengthens our team.
* 2+ years of experience with MS SQL Server.
* Experience with other database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Solr) is appreciated. We value diverse technical backgrounds.
* 1 or more Microsoft certifications.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
