Boone Drugs, Inc. is looking a hire a friendly, energetic, and detail oriented pharmacist for a full-time, manager position. This individual would be the pharmacist-in-charge, to coordinate and supervise daily operations for pharmacy and retail departments. The ideal candidate would have experience in management of a community pharmacy, experience with PioneerRx software, understanding and experience with Medication Therapy Management, Medication Synchronization and direct patient care. This individual would also need to be a Certified Immunizing Pharmacist.
*MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Currently licensed as a registered pharmacist.
* Possesses the necessary supervisory/management skills and/or experience to supervise the daily operations of the store.
* Has the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Must have the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees, patients, clients, vendors, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
* Must be capable of assuming responsibility for drug therapy including maintaining a client medication profile, seeking drug interactions, verifying medication dosages, and proper client education.
* Must have the ability to plan and problem solve.
* Possesses good organizational and time-management skills.
* Dependable in attendance and job performance.0
*EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:*
* Possesses a minimum of one year pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy experience.
* Possesses a strong knowledge of retail pharmacy preparation and dispensing according to the appropriate state board of pharmacy rules and regulations.
* Must possess knowledge in the specialized functions of preparing and dispensing compounding according to the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
* Experience in managing staff members.
*EDUCATION:*
* Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
