The Role As a Combat System Engineer you will play a key role in integrating, testing, evaluating and accepting equipment across the full lifecycle to support the development and delivery of operationally effective Combat System capability.
Day‑to‑day you will operate within a team of engineers to deliver the NCSISS contract, conduct integration and testing, manage customer engagement, develop test plans and produce supporting evidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Executing key systems engineering activities on significant projects
Engaging with external and internal stakeholders to ensure customer and business needs are satisfied and issues are mitigated
Directing technical documentation in support of work carried out
Delivering work and reporting on progress to project leads and customers
Conducting sea trials on Royal Navy ships, including potentially overseas
Essential experience
Relevant experience in an aligned engineering field
Proven experience on Naval Combat Systems or Radar, Sonar, C2 or Weapons
Experience in Test & Evaluation or Integration
Essential qualifications
Honours Degree in Engineering, Physics or similar. HNC/D Level qualification is acceptable if accompanied with appropriate experience
