Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer - SolidWorks with a strong background in designing enclosures for electronics? Would you like to join an ambitious and growing Engineering business putting their staff's progression at the top of priorities? If so, this could be the role for you! Our client provides rugged power system designs and products for harsh environments, predominantly within aerospace and defence. The successful applicant for this Mechanical Design Engineer - SolidWorks job based in Hertfordshire will be responsible for: Mechanical Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical solutions using SolidWorks, with a focus on electronic enclosures. Enclosure Design: Create robust housings suitable for harsh and demanding environments. Simulation and Testing: Support prototype builds and validation testing of mechanical designs. Technical Documentation: Generate 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with electronics, systems, and manufacturing teams for project integration.
