Palouse Power delivers a wide range of utility infrastructure services across the Inland Northwest region. We work with a variety of customers, supplying safe and reliable construction of any size commercial projects. We are looking for an accountable project manager to be responsible for all technical disciplines that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Palouse Power Management team and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

Technical Aptitude:

  • Specification review
  • Ability to read and interpret engineer drawings and a strong technical aptitude towards construction – specifically utility construction
  • Proficiency working with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Bluebeam, Procore, and other related software applications

Project Management Related Disciplines:

  • 1-3 years of construction project experience (preference given to utility construction) with increasing responsibility
  • Supply-chain experience – Contract review, negotiation, RFP process (subs and vendors) sourcing, procurement, and tracking
  • Experience with budget forecasting and earned value calculations
  • Project controls experience – experience building, tracking, scrutinizing/reconciling and correcting project costs; the ability to build out and track project schedules in Microsoft Project.
  • Scrutinize and reconcile of project billings
  • Experience recording, communicating, and tracking RFIs, Change Orders, Submittals, Transmittals, Risk Management Plans, Lessons Learned Logs, and other related project deliverables
  • Experience with monitor and control deliverables, as well as closeout deliverables

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48, $52,000.00 per year
