Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
- Assist with catheter care, wound care, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices to maintain patient safety.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform phlebotomy when required for diagnostic testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
- Engage with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—while demonstrating physiology knowledge and medical terminology proficiency.
- Support discharge planning and home & community care initiatives by providing compassionate caregiving in outpatient or home care environments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure or registration.
- Experience working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice environments preferred.
- Critical care experience or ICU experience is highly desirable for advanced patient support roles.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS).
- Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities; dementia or Alzheimer's care experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols.
- Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, or community-based settings.
