Duties

• Prepare and cook authentic Eastern European dishes, ensuring flavor authenticity and presentation quality
• Plan menus that highlight regional ingredients and traditional recipes, adapting as needed for dietary requirements
• Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and assembling ingredients efficiently
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
• Assist in catering events or special functions by preparing multiple courses or themed dishes
• Ensure all food handling procedures are followed meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service, ensuring timely delivery of orders

Skills

• Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Eastern European cuisine and traditional cooking techniques
• Proven kitchen experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, demonstrating strong knife skills and food preparation expertise
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong understanding of dietary department protocols and dietary aide practices is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
