Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of sterile techniques, anatomy, and hospital protocols, particularly within high-acuity environments such as Level I and Level II trauma centers, PICU, ICU, and emergency medicine settings. The Surgical Technologist will play a vital role in patient care, infection control, and maintaining compliance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies prior to surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and maintained according to infection control protocols
• Collect and document data related to patient vitals, anesthesia levels, and other relevant physiological information
• Support patient care activities including positioning, suturing assistance, and monitoring vital signs
• Maintain accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or other hospital-specific platforms
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control standards throughout all procedures
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of surgical areas in ambulatory surgery centers or hospital operating rooms
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in trauma centers, PICU, or critical care units to support acute care needs
• Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy knowledge, physiology, medical terminology, and analysis skills relevant to surgical settings
• Support emergency procedures in Level I Trauma Centers or other high-acuity environments with critical care experience

Requirements:

• CST
• BLS

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $40.00 per hour
