About the Company: Pro-MEC Engineering Services, Inc. is an industrial service provider, from plastic and steel fabrication, fire truck tanks and body fabrication, UL listed control panels, to NEBB certified testing and balancing. We are a lead service provider in the air pollution industry and have customers worldwide.
Summary: The estimator is responsible for reviewing blueprints, schematics and specifications to determine labor, materials and equipment needed to perform and complete a project. The estimator shall utilize Project Management, Engineering and other resources to assist in completing project estimates. The primary objective is to assist in the growth of the company by achieving sales and profitability objectives for new projects and clientele through comprehensive cost estimating and project award. This position reports to the National Sales Manager and supports the sales team and project management team. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the construction or manufacturing industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Visit Site as needed for Estimating
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to clarify project requirements
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and project requirements
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyze blueprints, schematics and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost estimate are incorporated into project budgets
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates and pricing sheets for review
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
- Review estimate with the designated project manager and Sales Manager upon bid proposal award
- Maintain an estimating database of history and costs for each project
- Follow all internal and external safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years manufacturing, construction and estimating experience
- Salesforce Professional experience
- Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) knowledge is a plus
- Air pollution control equipment knowledge is a plus
Preferred Qualities:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise cost estimates
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms
- Ability to analyze project drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Proven ability to remain calm and positive under pressure
- Good work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work within a team yet be an independent self-starter
Travel:
- Travel may be necessary at times to review a project site
