Food Runner

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the smooth operation of our dining service. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food, maintaining cleanliness, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Safely and accurately deliver food from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, supporting kitchen staff to maintain efficiency.
• Clear and reset tables promptly, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order accuracy when necessary.
• Support banquet events by delivering food to designated areas and assisting with setup as required.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow.
• Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
• Assist with other guest services duties, including accommodating special requests and providing hospitality support.

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
• Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous.
• Experience with serving, bussing, or working with POS systems like Aloha or Micros enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Banquet, catering, or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in guest services.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are necessary to provide excellent customer service.
• Familiarity with culinary operations or kitchen experience can be beneficial for supporting team needs.
