We have an exceptional team of Dental Assistants who go above and beyond at providing comfort and care for our patients. We strive for the highest level of doctor and patient satisfaction throughout the day by assisting our doctors and patients. We are a busy practice and need a detail -oriented individual with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, while also being patient focused. The Dental Assistant will provide chairside support, take radiographs, intraoral photographs, set trays and rooms up, break rooms down, maintain room items, provide exceptional patient care, educate patients when needed, and write informative clinical notes. Completion of a dental assistant program and knowledge of dental procedures, controls, and practices are a must.
Primary Responsibilities:
Patient care - Establish relationship, values, patient education, provide requested retail, provide comfort items, direct to bathroom, relative/spousal comfort
X-rays/intraoral photographs - Take radiographs, CT's, and intraoral photographs
-CEREC familiarity is a bonus
Chairside support - Determine and prepare procedural needs, handoff patient to doctor, pass instruments, gather preop info from patient, provide patient comfort, monitor nitrous/sedation, give post op instructions
Patient education - Review images, educate on existing/Tx Planned dentistry, product, pre/post-operative instruction, team education/CE
Tray set ups - Set up trays per procedure, by procedure
Clinical notes - Write all daily patient clinical notes using pre-made templates
Room set up - Turn on computer, open blinds, run waterlines, dress operatory, set room with proper tray and necessary equipment for procedure
Room break down - Remove PPE, wipe down/clean room and equipment used
Maintain room/Stock - Stock op drawers, keep room neat
Additional Responsibilities:
Sterilize instruments - Safely receive instruments, scrub, place in ultrasonic, rinse, dry, package/wrap, place in Autoclave, run instruments, decontaminate used mirrors and non- autoclavable items
Maintain room and equipment - Maintain Ultrasonic, Autoclave, and handpiece cleaner, turn on computer, change out towels, keep room clean
Stock instruments - Put away sterilized instruments and non-autoclavable items
Restock items - Put away delivered items, document needed items
Hygiene set ups - Make hygiene tray set ups and restock as they get low
-Support team members when needed or asked
- Manage SPS - Run weekly SPS strip in Autoclave, send strip to facility, store documentation
- Rover - Help to turn over and setup ops, assist with photography

Experience:
- Dental Assisting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)
- X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
