Sprinkles Potomac in Potomac, MD is looking for a general manager to join our 13 person strong team. Our women-owned business is located at 10148 River Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.

This role provides the opportunity to improve and excel in several areas including process management, social media/marketing management, procurement, pricing strategy, personnel management, customer service, and machine operation (coffee & frozen yogurt).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business operations including store setup, store maintenance and cleaning, cash management, cake making, froyo machine maintenance, and employee management
  • Manage staff (hiring, training, scheduling) and delegate responsibility as needed
  • Work with Assistant Managers to ensure store policies and procedures are followed, including but not limited to store cleanliness and adherence to health code
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards, handling customer inquiries as they arise and making real-time decisions that lead to customer satisfaction
  • Track inventory and ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner
  • Help manage annual pie sale (Thanksgiving & Christmas), assisting with order tracking and in-store pickup
  • Oversee delivery apps (UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub)
  • Assist with marketing (email, social media)

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, clean, customer-focused workplace
  • Strong time-management skills; ability to switch tasks as needed (temporarily pause cleaning or food prep when customers enter the store), prioritize, and organize
  • Food Certification required
  • Cash management experience required. This role requires the ability to properly manage daily cash including putting together the daily cash deposit and ensuring we have enough cash on-hand to maintain operations
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of 3 or more employees required
  • 2+ years experience in management in the food industry preferred
