Yoga Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of body mechanics and physiology, with the ability to lead engaging yoga classes that inspire participants to achieve their health and wellness goals. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive and motivating environment while providing exceptional instruction in various yoga disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: Demonstrate yoga poses, including modifications for different levels and body types.
• Teach proper breathing and meditation.
• Sharing principles: Share the spiritual and intellectual principles of yoga.
• Advising: Provide guidance on how to improve practice, including at-home routines.
• Preparing the studio: Set up the studio and ensure it's clean and orderly.
• Building relationships: Develop relationships with students and foster a community.
• Staying current: Continuously learn about new yoga techniques and trends.
• Ensuring safety: Ensure the safety of students during class.
• Assisting with maintenance: Help maintain the yoga studio

Experience

• Member or Affiliate of the Yoga Alliance
• Previous experience as a Yoga Instructor or in a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of body mechanics and physiology is essential.
• Experience in leading group yoga classes or personal training sessions is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals or groups.
• A background in fitness sales can be advantageous for promoting programs effectively.
