Our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility is seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate stock levels. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the flow of goods, ensuring that our inventory data is precise and up-to-date. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, performing thorough receiving and shipping verifications, and investigating and resolving any inventory discrepancies. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, enabling efficient warehousing and timely order fulfillment. You will also be involved in identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock, assisting with stock rotation, and reporting on inventory accuracy metrics. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages
- Assist with stock put-away and organization
- Identify and report on damaged or obsolete inventory
- Implement inventory control procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and PPE usage
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role
- Proficiency with inventory management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Familiarity with PPE requirements
