We are hiring a reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is crucial for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for operating various pieces of material handling equipment, moving products, and ensuring inventory is correctly located and organized. The ideal candidate has experience with different types of warehouse equipment and a strong understanding of material flow within a logistics environment. Safety is our top priority, and you must be committed to following all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE, and maintaining a safe work area. This role involves significant lifting and requires the ability to handle materials carefully and efficiently. Responsibilities include: Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Moving materials and products to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks. Loading and unloading trucks and containers. Storing materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization. Assisting with inventory counts and record-keeping. Performing routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Identifying and reporting any damaged materials or equipment issues. Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
