Our growing logistics operation in Omaha, Nebraska is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming inventory. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and bills of lading. You will be handling the unloading of trucks, scanning items, and moving received goods to designated storage areas. A key part of this role involves maintaining accurate receiving records and reporting any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate supervisor. We are committed to a safe and efficient workplace, and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of proper PPE, is mandatory. This position requires the ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting and moving of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures is highly desirable. You will be working closely with the shipping department to ensure a seamless flow of goods throughout the logistics process. Daily activities include counting, weighing, and measuring items, as well as preparing them for put-away. We encourage a proactive approach to problem-solving and value team members who contribute to a positive and productive warehouse environment. Strong communication skills are necessary for collaborating with vendors, drivers, and internal staff. Understanding basic warehouse operations and the importance of timely and accurate receiving is crucial for success in this role.
