You will operate material handling equipment, load and unload shipments, and contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying against purchase orders.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform manual lifting of items and materials, following safe lifting techniques.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control principles.
- Commitment to contributing to a safe and productive logistics workplace.
