Our Seattle, Washington distribution center is seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage locations, and assisting with order fulfillment processes. A strong commitment to Safety is a must; you will conduct daily equipment checks, adhere to all operational protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work environment. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and have at least one year of experience operating various types of forklifts. Experience with reach trucks and order pickers is highly desirable. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent Lifting of items and sustained periods of standing and walking. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and teamwork. - Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas and workstations.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure operational efficiency.
