Our Boston, Massachusetts location is seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our warehouse team. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, ensuring the correct quantity and item are selected. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to navigate the warehouse effectively. We prioritize the safety of our employees; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of provided PPE are mandatory. Tasks will involve frequent movement and potential Lifting of items. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists or system prompts.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate electric pallet jacks or other equipment as needed to retrieve items.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Meet established productivity goals.
- Utilize required PPE consistently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform regular Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a team.
