Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved safely and effectively. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport inventory, load and unload trucks, and assist with various warehouse tasks. A strong understanding of safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, and familiarity with warehouse logistics are required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers in a timely manner.
- Transport inventory to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, ensuring pathways are clear.
- Assist with order fulfillment and inventory management as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow established procedures for warehouse logistics and material handling.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel.
- Ensure the integrity and safe handling of all inventory items.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with proven experience in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
