We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our Virginia Beach, Virginia team. The Inventory Clerk will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This role involves tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to improve inventory control. Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management principles are essential for success. You will contribute significantly to the efficiency of our logistics operations by ensuring that accurate inventory data is available at all times. Join us and play a vital role in our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory accurately.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items, considering Lifting and accessibility.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and policies.
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize inventory flow and reduce waste.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree is a plus.
