We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is a cornerstone of our logistics process, responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately selected and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will navigate our warehouse, locate items based on orders, verify quantities, and then package them securely and correctly. Precision and speed are essential to meet our operational demands and maintain high customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, often under time constraints. Collaboration with colleagues and adherence to established procedures are vital for team success. Our commitment to workplace safety is paramount; therefore, all employees must strictly follow safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical capability, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Your role is critical to the smooth functioning of our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning technology.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or discrepancies.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Apply correct shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity standards for picking and packing.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment role is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and productively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE.
