Join our efficient logistics operation in Madison, Wisconsin, as an Order Picker. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. You will utilize advanced scanning technology to ensure precision and efficiency in your picking process. This fast-paced position demands a keen eye for detail, as accuracy is paramount to customer satisfaction and minimizing errors. Your responsibilities will also include staging picked items for packing and shipping, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adherence to all warehouse safety protocols is essential, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE. This role involves frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using scanners.
- Verify picked items against order forms to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed, following safety guidelines.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Contribute to team goals and efficient logistics flow.
- Follow all instructions for specific order requirements.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous order picking or warehouse experience is a significant advantage. Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of the shift. Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE is critical.
