Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, materials, labor, and timelines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients during preconstruction
- Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
- Assist with change order pricing and cost revisions as needed
- Ensure estimates comply with company standards and project requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficiency with estimating software (Agtek, PlanSwift, Bluebeam/Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial and residential construction projects
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Experience working with subcontractors and vendors
