Tax Associate

Warren Averett is seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join our Montgomery office and contribute to delivering exceptional client service. This role is perfect for someone ready to put their accounting knowledge to work, sharpen their skills alongside seasoned professionals, and make a meaningful impact for clients across industries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple tax returns with minimal supervision, supervise the preparation of simple and moderately complicated income tax returns, and assume primary responsibility in the preparation of complicated tax returns
• Participate with more experienced personnel in coordinating large client engagements, identification of problems, tax law and computer model analysis and helping clients determine optimal strategies
• Maintain quality client relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Have CPA or be CPA eligible
• Knowledge of and have ability to research Federal, State and Local tax codes and regulations
• Knowledge of basic of software packages. Experience with Profx a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills in working with staff and clients
• Having performed a tax internship would be a large plus
