Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Churn Data Analyst to lead data-driven initiatives focused on understanding and reducing customer churn. This role combines deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen to uncover insights, develop predictive models, and support strategic retention efforts. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in data analytics, customer behavior modeling, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze churn patterns and customer lifecycle trends to identify key drivers of attrition.
  • Design, build, and maintain churn prediction models using advanced statistical and machine learning methods.
  • Develop automated reports and dashboards that monitor churn KPIs, retention performance, and at-risk customer segments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Customer Experience) to develop churn mitigation strategies and evaluate the impact of retention programs.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and deep dives to explain changes in churn rates and service performance.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for analytical use.
  • Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable format.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline, ro equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics or data science, preferably within telecommunications, broadband, or other subscription-based industries.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large datasets in modern data warehouse environments (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Hands-on experience in Python or R for statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to design and automate analytical dashboards.
  • Proven ability to apply predictive modeling techniques (logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, XGBoost, etc.) for churn and customer retention analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with telecom or fixed wireless customer datasets and churn metrics.
  • Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data preparation, and cloud-based data environments.
  • Background in customer segmentation, lifetime value analysis, and A/B testing.
  • Familiarity with statistical experimentation and impact measurement of retention initiatives.
