Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the planning and execution of menu items, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling techniques.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other tools.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with restocking as needed.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff members on food preparation techniques.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills.
• Experience working in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant environment is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere within the kitchen.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department requirements is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
